My search filters return no results

You searched for churches with several filters and the screen came up empty. This happens when the combination of criteria is too specific for the area you're searching. Try the following options in order.

1. Reduce the number of active filters

The more filters you combine, the stricter the search becomes. If you have "denomination + hours + country + city" active, try removing them one by one until results appear. Then add them back one at a time to identify which one is being too restrictive.

2. Type the city name without accent marks

The search engine generally handles accents well, but if you type the name exactly as it's registered in our database, you improve your chances. Try variations:

• "México" and also "Mexico"
• "Bogotá" and also "Bogota"
• "Mérida" and also "Merida"

3. Check the denomination without special characters and in generic form

Some denominations are registered in singular form or without special characters. For example:

• Try "Católico" and also "Catolico".
• Try "Evangélica" and also "Evangelica".
• If you're searching for a very specific denomination, try the broader name (for example "Bautista" instead of "Bautista Independiente").

4. Expand the geographic area

If you're searching in a small or rural city, there may not be any registered churches there yet. Try:

• Searching in the nearest larger city or municipality.
• Searching directly by state or department.
• If the denomination is very specific and the country is small, try searching by country only to see what's available nationally.

5. The church may not be in the directory yet

We have more than 516,513 churches registered across 14 countries, but the directory is still growing. If you're looking for a specific congregation you know and it doesn't appear, you can add it yourself:
