Worship times: how to add or correct them
Worship times are among the most-checked details before visiting a church. Keeping them up to date helps everyone arrive at the right moment — no surprises.
Expected format
Each service is entered with a day, start time, and end time:
Sunday 09:00 - 10:30
Simple as that. The system displays times exactly as you enter them, so be clear and consistent. Some valid examples:
- Sunday 08:00 - 09:30
- Sunday 11:00 - 12:30
- Wednesday 19:00 - 20:30
You don't need to convert anything to UTC — the system assumes the time is the church's local time. Someone searching from another country will see the time exactly as you entered it, which is the real time at that location.
How many services can I add?
As many as you need. There's no limit. A church with four Sunday services and one midweek service can list them all, one by one. The more complete the information, the more useful the listing is for someone looking for a specific time.
How to add worship times
For a new church: when using the [/add-church] form, you'll find the worship times field as part of the registration process. You can add multiple services right from the start.
For a church that's already listed: use the "Suggest a correction" button on the church's listing. From there you can add, edit, or remove services. The team reviews the suggestion and applies it if it's accurate. More details at [/en/help/articulo/iglesias/editar-iglesia].
Special services: Holy Week, Christmas, and similar
Regular times should reflect the church's normal weekly schedule. For special services (New Year's Eve vigil, Stations of the Cross, posadas, etc.) the best approach is to include them in the church description. That way the regular times don't confuse someone looking for a normal Sunday, and the special information is still visible.
When times change
New visitors trust what they see in the listing. If your church changed its time or day, suggest the correction as soon as possible:
- Open the church listing.
- Tap "Suggest a correction" → edit the times.
- Submit the suggestion.
