Post types in the feed

EncuentraIglesias's feed is not a general-purpose social network: it's designed for spiritual edification. That's why there are only five post types, each with a visual tag that helps everyone understand at a glance what it's about.

The five types

Prayer 🙏

Share a prayer request — yours or someone close to you. The community can respond by praying with you.

  • What fits: personal requests, intercession for family, health situations, spiritual needs.
  • Example: "Please pray for my mother, who is in treatment. God knows what she needs."
  • Suggested length: between 80 and 300 characters, though you can go up to 600.

Testimony ✨

Share something God did in your life. It doesn't have to be extraordinary — everyday gratitude is edifying too.

  • What fits: answers to prayer, moments of grace, life changes.
  • Example: "After months looking for work, I received an offer this week. Thanks to God alone."
  • Suggested length: 100–500 characters.

Praise 🎶

Express worship or gratitude without describing a specific event. It's celebrating who God is.

  • What fits: phrases of worship, expressions of faith, general gratitude.
  • Example: "His mercies are new every morning. Blessed be His name."
  • Suggested length: 80–300 characters.

Verse 📖

Share a Bible reference with a short reflection on why that passage spoke to you.

  • What fits: cite the reference (e.g. Psalm 23:1) and add 1–2 sentences of personal reflection.
  • Example: "Philippians 4:7 — That peace that surpasses all understanding is real. I felt it this week."
  • Note: you don't need to write out the full verse; a reference + your reflection is enough.
  • Suggested length: 80–400 characters.

Question ❓

Ask a question about faith, practical theology, or Christian life. The community can answer in the comments.

  • What fits: Bible questions, questions about spiritual practice, seeking faith-based advice.
  • Example: "How do you keep your devotional time when work takes up the whole day?"
  • Suggested length: 80–200 characters for the question; comments allow up to 200 characters each.

Why only five types

Limiting post types isn't arbitrary. It's what keeps the feed as a space for edification rather than becoming a news wall. Each type has a clear purpose, which also makes moderation easier to protect everyone.

If your post is shorter than 80 characters, the system will ask you to expand it. If it exceeds 600, you'll need to trim it before posting.
