How to report a post or comment
You don't have to silently tolerate harmful content. If you see something that shouldn't be in the feed, the report button is there for you — and using it helps protect the whole community.
How to report
- On the post or comment you want to report, tap the three dots icon (⋯) or the "Report" button.
- Choose the category that best describes the problem.
- Confirm. Done.
The report is sent anonymously: the person being reported doesn't know who reported them.
Report categories and when to use each
| Category | When to use |
|---|---|
| Scam or fraud | Someone is asking for money, sharing contact details, trying to take the conversation off the platform |
| Inappropriate content | Offensive language, hatred, violence, spam, aggressive marketing |
| Sexual content | Any post with explicit or suggestive sexual content |
| Self-harm | Content that glorifies or describes harming oneself |
| Other | Something that doesn't fit the above categories but clearly doesn't belong in the feed |
When you're unsure between categories, choose the closest one. The team reviews the full context.
What happens after your report
- The EncuentraIglesias team receives a notification.
- If multiple users independently report the same post, the system can automatically hide it while it's being reviewed.
- If the report is valid, action is taken: from hiding the post to suspending or banning the responsible account.
- You won't receive a notification of the outcome (to protect the anonymity of the process), but the report is processed.
Responsible use of the report tool
Reporting is a protection tool, not a weapon. Using repeated reports against someone who isn't violating any guideline — for example, because you disagree with their opinion — is abuse of the tool and can result in consequences for your own account.
If you have a dispute with another user, the right response is to not engage, not to report without grounds.
