My post isn't showing up or was blocked: why

You wrote your post, submitted it, and it didn't appear — or an error message showed up. This has concrete causes. Here are the most common ones.

Common reasons a post doesn't go through

Length out of range

A post must be between 80 and 600 characters. If it's too short, the system will ask you to expand it. If it's too long, you'll need to trim it. Comments have a limit of 200 characters.

Contains contact information

If your post includes a phone number, email address, or social media handle, the system blocks it automatically. This applies even if the details belong to a third party or a church.

Contains an external link

Only links to encuentraiglesias.* are allowed. Any other URL — even a verse on Bible Gateway or a hymn on YouTube — triggers the block.

Contains prohibited words or phrases

There are terms the system recognizes as incompatible with the spirit of the feed. The list includes offensive language, but also phrases that commonly appear in scam attempts or attempts to coordinate meetups outside the platform.

Appears to be a money request or offline coordination

Even without using explicit words from the list, the system can detect patterns associated with fraud or attempts to take the conversation off EI. If your post triggers that detection, it's held for review.

Flagged by automatic review

Content goes through a layer of automated moderation. If the system considers it potentially problematic — even if it isn't — it hides it until a team member reviews it manually.

Why the error message is vague

Deliberately, the system doesn't say exactly which word or phrase caused the block. That's to make it harder to evade the filters by tweaking the text. If your post was genuinely blocked by mistake, we understand — and there's a way to resolve it.
