The Catholic Latin America relief agency Adveniat recently released its annual report for 2025. Despite a slight decline in donations, the organization supported over 800 projects with a total of €30.6 million. Bishop Franz-Josef Overbeck, chairman of Adveniat, emphasized during the presentation in Essen that this figure is a strong sign of solidarity with the people of Latin America.
The funded projects span numerous areas: education, healthcare, agriculture, and strengthening civil society. Notably, many of these initiatives are led by local communities, enhancing their sustainability and effectiveness.
