Refuge of Light in the Family Gloom
"And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday."
— Isaiah 58:10
💭 Reflection
In this month of May, when we honor mothers, it is a good time to reflect on the light that each mother brings to her family's life. Often, moms are the ones who brighten our days with their unconditional love, care, and wisdom. But what about when there are moments of darkness? Struggles and challenges can seem overwhelming, and sometimes you feel that the light has faded. In those moments, remember that by reaching out to others and offering help, even in small things, you are kindling a light in the darkness. The verse from Isaiah reminds us that as we share and care for others, our own light begins to shine. Make an effort today to be that light for someone in your family, whether by listening, supporting, or simply being present. Your love can be the beacon that guides others through their own dark nights.
🙏 Prayer of the Day
Lord, thank You for the love and light that mothers bring into our lives. Help me to be a light in the darkness of those around me, reflecting Your love at all times.
