Cross that Unites Justice and Mercy
"He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?"
— Micah 6:8
💭 Reflection
This Lenten season, let us reflect on the profound meaning of justice and mercy in our lives. Often we face situations where we must choose between what is right and what is compassionate. The cross reminds us that through Christ's sacrifice, justice and mercy intertwine in a perfect dance. As He carried our burdens and sins upon His shoulders, He fulfilled the demand for justice, yet also showed us the face of mercy. Today, are you willing to do the same? In your daily life, there are opportunities to act justly and extend mercy to those around you. Perhaps it is through an act of kindness toward a stranger, or forgiving someone who has hurt you. Remember that as you follow Christ's example, you carry His light into the world.
🙏 Prayer of the Day
Lord, help me to live with a heart that seeks justice and embraces mercy. May Your example on the cross guide me to be a light in the lives of others.
