Seeds of Vocation in the Winter of the Soul

"Give ye ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech. Doth the plowman plow all day to sow? doth he open and break the clods of his ground?"

— Isaiah 28:23-24

💭 Reflection

In this winter, while nature seems to be at rest, you too can find a timely season to reflect on your work and vocation. The image of the plowman in Isaiah reminds us that not all moments are for active sowing; sometimes, we must prepare the soil and tend the roots. Ask yourself: What is the mission God has for you in this new year? How can you use your talents and abilities to glorify Him? This is a time to evaluate your purposes and sow seeds of change, even when it seems you are in a period of waiting. Remember that every step you take is a preparation for the harvest to come. Do not fear working on the details, because God is with you in every season of your life.

🙏 Prayer of the Day

Lord, help me to discern my vocation in this season. May every effort I make be a seed of Your love in my surroundings. Amen.
