Healing Wounds at the Start of the New Year

"Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye."

— Colossians 3:13

💭 Reflection

As we begin this new year, it is a fitting time to reflect on forgiveness and reconciliation. Are there relationships in your life that need to be restored? The winter season invites us to look inward, to evaluate our attitudes and actions toward others. Forgiving not only frees those around us, but also frees us ourselves from the chains of resentment. Think about how you would feel releasing that weight; how, just as snow melts with the warmth of the sun, you can let the love of Christ melt away the barriers that separate you from others. Whether it is a friend, a family member, or even a stranger, start the year by taking the brave step toward reconciliation. Do not let the cold of winter linger in your heart. Today is the perfect day to sow seeds of forgiveness and watch them bloom into renewed relationships.

🙏 Prayer of the Day

Lord, help me to let go of resentment and to forgive as You have forgiven me. Give me the courage to reach out to those I need to be reconciled with and to restore those relationships. Amen.
